BREAKING: We’re investigating IPOB, Oodua threats, says Odumosu, Lagos CP

May 10, 2021

Lagos Police Commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu has said security agencies in the state were on top of threats by Oodua Republic and the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) agitators to disrupt law and order, and attack soft targets, respectively.

He stated this at a stakeholders’ forum on security chaired by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the state secretariat, Alausa and

Odumosu said: “The command has taken notice of agitators for Oodua Republic by some Yoruba separatist groups and the threats to disrupt law and order in the state. Twenty four of these groups have been identified and being closely monitored. “Similarly, the threat of IPOB to attack soft targets in Lagos is equally being put on the radar of the command intelligence gathering and other security services in the state. Strategies are being put in place to neutralise their activities.

“The command is using this medium to solicit for the support of all and sundry to be vigilant at all times and report any suspicious person or movement to security agencies. Let us adopt the slogan of “when you see something, say something.”

The Nation reports that increased attacks on police, other security facilities in the southeast and south-south regions of the country with IPOB being major suspects. Also, two attempted attacks on two police divisions in Lagos were foiled last month and security beefed up across the state to forestall further attempts.

I Was Detained Because I Bless Nnamdi Kanu – Fr. Mbaka

May 6, 2021

By Anthony Ijeomah, Enugu

The Controversial Enugu Based Catholic Priest, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka has disclosed that his 24 hours ‘disappearance’ was an incarceration by the Enugu Catholic Bishop, Most Rev Callistus Onaga, whom he accused of conniving with others to detain him because he spoke favourably about the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Mbaka said he was only released because the adoration faithful protested his unexplained disappeance.

Mbaka who spoke late on Wednesday at his adoration ground after regaining freedom, practically accused the authorities of the Enugu Catholic Diocese of Mastermind.

He said he was kept incommunicado by the Bishop, whom he further alleged planned to keep him for 30 days.

He said a lot of issues were presented against him after which the Church leadership, led by Bishop Calistus Onaga told him that he would remain indoors for one month, a period that would allow him pray and meditate over his activities.

Mbaka said he requested to be allowed the opportunity to come and address his parishioners after which he would shut down, “but they said no. I also begged them to allow me send another priest to come and celebrate mass for you today, they said no,” he told the parishioners.

He said Bishop Onaga upon seeing the protest over his predicament allowed him to go.

Mbaka the church was strong against him for blessing Nnamdi Kanu.

“Are you the owner of my mouth? You can’t tell me who to bless? If you are not happy that I blessed someone, you have your own mouth, you can curse the person.

“They didn’t treat me in a pastoral way and I was asking am I being punished for what?

“They said it was a meeting, but even before I reached the Bishop’s house, conclusion has already been made. What happened to me was like the day I was shot on the road.

“Unfortunately for them, even before the meeting, a woman was already going around bragging that the Bishop will call me for a meeting, and that I was going to leave my house here for 30 days, and that after the 30 days, I would be sent to Rome, and Adoration ministry will be closed.

“In a time and cases like this, don’t give me a punishment that will cause troubles for us because I’m not alone.”

Mbaka said that another thing presented to him was his recent criticism of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Government.

“I cannot hate my brother because of some people who hatred is in their genes,” Mbaka said.

BREAKING: Mbaka reportedly missing – Ohanaeze raises alarm, warns FG

May 5, 2021

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, OYC, on Wednesday raised the alarm over the whereabouts of the fiery Enugu priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka.

The cleric of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, has been in the news after he asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign.

This was followed by a revelation by the presidency that he was attacking Buhari because he was refused a contract.

Ohanaeze Youth Council has now claimed that the priest was missing.

In a statement issued by the President-General of OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, he said Mbaka was last seen on Tuesday, adding that every effort to trace him had failed.

“We have it on good authority that his aides have neither seen nor heard from him since Tuesday.

“Calls put to his mobile line have also remained unanswered; this has now prompted us to issue this alarm as we would not take it lightly should anything untoward happens to him.

“We are giving the Federal Government 48 hours to produce the priest, else they should be ready to face Igbo youths. They were dining and wining with him all along and now that he told the truth, they are no longer comfortable with him.

“Let nothing happen to Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka. It will not be in anybody’s interest,” the group warned.

Meanwhile, DAILY POST reached out to close aides of the Catholic Cleric, but they declined comment, noting that the picture was not clear yet.

“Today is the Wednesday programme, ‘E no dey again’, if he doesn’t officiate, it will then be clear that something is wrong,” one of them said.

NEW GOVERNMENT: “A New Nigeria Is Born”- Senator Rochas Okorocha (Video)

May 5, 2021

Former Imo State governor and the incumbent senator representing Imo west senatorial district, senator Rooch Okorocha said the new Nigeria, which will look after the interests of all regions where peace and justice are guaranteed, is achieved by enthroning a people- centered leadership.

Okorocha urged Nigerians not to give up hope but to remain strong and committed to a united country adding that the country’ s sleep capacity will be revitalized for the benefit of society under the new Nigeria.

Okorocha made this statement while speaking to selected journalists in Abuja, to mark Labor Day celebrations this year.

He said what the country is currently facing in terms of insecurity, hunger, poverty, and unemployment can be overcome when Nigerians are encouraged to believe in their jobs.

According to him, Nigerian workers have sacrificed and continue to make great sacrifices in building a prosperous country, but they will still reap the same benefits.

However, he urged staff to continue to show a spirit of nationalism, by putting national unity and stability first.

Rochas stated; ” We must look forward to a new Nigeria where everyone will be accommodated regardless of religion, race, and social status, Nigeria will put the people first, where workers will be proud to work for their country.

” We can achieve this if we all remain resolute and committed to the goals of a united Nigeria.

” I salute the stubbornness of the Nigerian workers who continued to sacrifice without being paid. We must all be driven and motivated by patriotic fervor and the belief that a New Nigeria is about to be born” .

The Senator also came up with solutions on how to deal with growing uncertainty across the country. It mandated the government to involve all regions in finding a lasting solution to the security challenges.

Okorocha said that although the government and security personnel, especially the Nigerian Armed Forces, were making great sacrifices to restore peace, the people needed to be in one place.

He added that injustice was part of the long- running causes of insecurity and divisive violence, stressing that until all issues of discrimination against Nigerians were resolved, they will be no progress on this fight.

His statement read; ” Nigeria can overcome the security challenges that exist very quickly and vigorously if all regions of the country are determined.

” The people we call robbers, terrorists, kidnappers, and other criminals live among the people, protected and treated as heroes and protectors because people feel abandoned by the government.

” But if this practice is reversed, if every Nigerian is given a sense of belonging, the spirit of nationalism will spread to everyone

BIM -MASSOB condenms attack on Uwazuruike

May 5, 2021

By Emmanuel Nnadi, Owerri

The leadership of the Biafra Independence Movement (BIM) and the Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra’ (BIM-MASSOB) have condemned the attack on its leader and founder of the organisation, Ralph Uwazuruike, by the Eastern Security Network (ESN) of Nnamdi Kanu’s Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

MASSOB-BIM said that the latest attack on the Igbo activist has justified the organisation’s earlier position that the proscribed leader of IPOB was not genuinely and firmly fighting for Biafra.

A statement signed by the MASSOB-BIM Director of information and Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity), Chris Mocha, warned the perpetrators of violence to have a rethink, adding that taking up arms, murder and burning military formations will not lead anywhere but will endager the lives of our Igbo youths.

Mocha said that Kanu allegedly sending members of the ESN to attack and kill Uwazuruike at his Owerri residence was to provoke BIM- MASSOB members to resort to violence. This, he said, will ultimately failed

Ndigbo In Europe, America Sponsoring Nnamdi Kanu To Destabilize Southeast– BIM-MASSOB Leader

Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, leader of the Biafra Independence Movement and Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (BIM-MASSOB), says accusations that the incessant attacks in some parts of the Southeast are being masterminded by insurgents from the Northeast of the country are unfounded.
Rather, he said Igbo youths living overseas are behind the crises and the zone.

Biafra Times recently reported that the Ohanaeze Youth Council, in a press statement, accused insurgents from the Northeast of masterminding the increasing attacks in the Southeast parts of the country.

Conversely, Uwazuruike, while addressing the World Igbo Congress European Branch (WICE) during its virtual meeting on security situations in the Southeast, said ‘the only insecurity in the land is the one that is being sponsored by Ndigbo in diaspora’.

According to him, “Some Ndigbo in diaspora, especially America and Europe, are sponsoring the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to destabilise Ala-Igbo with his constant illusionary Fulani herdsmen’s attacks.”

In a release by Uwazuruike’s special assistant on social media matters, Comrade Emma N. Nnadi, which was made available to our correspondent in Aba today, the founder of MASSOB said, “We don’t have any security problems here. The Southeast is the most peaceful zone in Nigeria. The only problem we have in Igbo land is from our people in diaspora, mainly America and Europe, because they are the people from foreign land telling us that Fulani people have taken over the entire Southeast; that Fulani are inside bushes and rivers in the Southeast.

“All these are false propaganda. They are all lies because BIM-MASSOB, as an organization, is on ground. BIM-MASSOB is in every family in Igbo land. There is no family in Igbo land you will not get a member of BIM-MASSOB, and our security members are writing and submitting security reports on a daily basis about whatever happens in their areas, and we analyse such reports. But you people will be in America and Europe, and will be telling the gullible people in Igbo land that Hausa/Fulani people have entered our land, this and that are happening in Igbo land.

“If Hausa people enter Igbo land with trailers and so what? Check how many Igbo people in their thousands that stream to the North and West on a daily basis. If Hausa people, about three or four enter Igbo land, the entire world will be disturbed unnecessarily because some people have taken such propaganda as their business. They eat with such propaganda, and they are ready to be creating crises in the Southeast. But those that are creating that, none of them reside in Southeast and Nigeria.”

By Emmanuel Nnadi, Owerri

He also reminded Nnamdi Kanu how he single handedly sponsored his wedding.

According to Uwazuruike, he gave Nnamdi Kanu #450,000 to do his wedding.

He noted that during Nnamdi Kanu’s wedding, he asked for Security from his sister who is currently with the Nigerian police. She provided enough security. but despite this, his men came to the venue and abducted Nnamdi Kanu without a gun.

He revealed that Kanu was in detention for five days, where he was taught to respect his elders but he still hasn’t learnt a lesson.

Uwazurike stated emphatically that Nnamdi Kanu is a NOBODY but a tool in the hands of the enemies of Biafra.

That Nnamdi Kanu only had one attack in his family house and ran away.

Uwazuruike said he has had numerous attacks and is still staying in the country

He said Nnamdi Kanu doesn’t have the interest of Biafla at heart.if not, why would he think of attacking him, Uwazurike who started the Biafla struggle about 40years ago?

He said “Nnamdi Kanu is feeling like the C in C because he has some efulefu’s following his command, I’m sorry for the recruits”.

He dared Nnamdi Kanu to come down to Nigeria and stay anywhere he so wishes, he will ensure that his men bring Nnamdi Kanu before him
