NEW GOVERNMENT: “A New Nigeria Is Born”- Senator Rochas Okorocha (Video)

May 5, 2021

Former Imo State governor and the incumbent senator representing Imo west senatorial district, senator Rooch Okorocha said the new Nigeria, which will look after the interests of all regions where peace and justice are guaranteed, is achieved by enthroning a people- centered leadership.

Okorocha urged Nigerians not to give up hope but to remain strong and committed to a united country adding that the country’ s sleep capacity will be revitalized for the benefit of society under the new Nigeria.

Okorocha made this statement while speaking to selected journalists in Abuja, to mark Labor Day celebrations this year.

He said what the country is currently facing in terms of insecurity, hunger, poverty, and unemployment can be overcome when Nigerians are encouraged to believe in their jobs.

According to him, Nigerian workers have sacrificed and continue to make great sacrifices in building a prosperous country, but they will still reap the same benefits.

However, he urged staff to continue to show a spirit of nationalism, by putting national unity and stability first.

Rochas stated; ” We must look forward to a new Nigeria where everyone will be accommodated regardless of religion, race, and social status, Nigeria will put the people first, where workers will be proud to work for their country.

” We can achieve this if we all remain resolute and committed to the goals of a united Nigeria.

” I salute the stubbornness of the Nigerian workers who continued to sacrifice without being paid. We must all be driven and motivated by patriotic fervor and the belief that a New Nigeria is about to be born” .

The Senator also came up with solutions on how to deal with growing uncertainty across the country. It mandated the government to involve all regions in finding a lasting solution to the security challenges.

Okorocha said that although the government and security personnel, especially the Nigerian Armed Forces, were making great sacrifices to restore peace, the people needed to be in one place.

He added that injustice was part of the long- running causes of insecurity and divisive violence, stressing that until all issues of discrimination against Nigerians were resolved, they will be no progress on this fight.

His statement read; ” Nigeria can overcome the security challenges that exist very quickly and vigorously if all regions of the country are determined.

” The people we call robbers, terrorists, kidnappers, and other criminals live among the people, protected and treated as heroes and protectors because people feel abandoned by the government.

” But if this practice is reversed, if every Nigerian is given a sense of belonging, the spirit of nationalism will spread to everyone

Missing 300-Level Law student found in Imo hospital mortuary

May 3, 2021

The body of a 300-level Law student of the Imo State University, Owerri, Kingsley Chiwueze, has been found five days after he went missing.

Chiwueze was on Monday declared missing after efforts made to find him proved abortive.

Our correspondent gathered that the deceased, who was deeply involved in students’ politics, hailed from the Oguta Local Government Area of the state.

PUNCH Metro gathered that Chiwueze had two weeks ago made his intention known to vie for the office of Senate President of the National Association of Imo State Students.

The President, Students Union Government, IMSU, Arinze Oguike, who confirmed the development to our correspondent, said the corpse was found in the morgue of the Umuguma General Hospital, Owerri, on Sunday.

He said students of the institution stormed the mortuary and the attendant told them that the corpse was deposited by the management of the St. Joseph Hospital, Wetheral, Owerri.

The student leader said, “The attendant told us that Chiwueze’s corpse was brought by people from the St. Joseph hospital, Wetheral. We will go to the hospital to find out how they took custody of the student.”

One Darlington Ibekwe, said, “Kingsley hailed from the Oguta Local Government Area. Kingsley was declared missing on Monday and was just found; it happened that he was one of the victims of the shooting on Douglas Road and the most painful thing about all of this is the fact that the state government’s media handlers have come out to say that no life was lost to the security challenges.

“When Divine, an IMSU student, was shot dead last week, someone called her irresponsible and asked what a girl would be doing outside by that time.”

When contacted, the IMSU spokesman, Ralph Njokuobi, said he would communicate with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Peter Akah, about the discovery.

The police spokesman for the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, said that he had not been briefed about the latest development.

NEED FOR GOD GOVERNANCE, THE MAIN REASON WHY I SACRIFICED MYSELF FOR NDIGBO – Uwazuruike

By Emmanuel Nnadi, Owerri

My Obsession and indignation with the Nigerian system stems from the prolonged marginalization of Ndigbo. As a child of nine, I witnessed the civil war and also noted the conditions for the truce which culminated in the return of Ndigbo to Nigerian with the refrain ‘no victor, no vanquished’. Within a short while, however, the intent of our oppressor downed on us.

As a seemingly defeated people, we tried to play the balls as they came, hoping that God would touch the minds of the Nigerian Authorities over our plight. But things got unbelievable when Hausa religious leaders under the aegis of religious fundamentalism would instruct their adherents in their Friday Mosque prayers to have their pound of flesh on Ndigbo to appease God. They believe that such would lead them to heaven. As a resulting, scores of Ndigbo would be massacred in parts of the North and their properties looted and destroyed. This became a recurring occurrence as even the securities sent by the Federal Government often took active part in the exercise. Investigations later revealed that Northern Politicians were privy to the instigation of the Alamajiris who they use to settle scores with whoever they had differences with.
To avoid public resentment, the mangled remains of victims were buried in mass graves under the cover of the night. The few lucky escapees would later be apprehended on the way and the same glory treatment meted out on them. In some cases those who managed to find refuge in Police stations were also killed there as was the case of Gideon Akaluka who was beheaded in Kano Central Police Station.

The security of life and property of Ndigbo in Nigeria was no longer guaranteed. The defeated Igbo elites turned the other side to avoid blackmail as supporters of Igbo.

But someone has to carry the cross; someone has to bear the brunt; someone has to make the sacrifice. I decided to do it, not for any other person but for my children. There lives and properties have to be secure in a country they call their own. The person killed in Kano, Kaduna, Maiduguri, Jos or Sokoto, through organised religious riots could be any body’s child, brother, sister, husband, wife or relative. Life is important and highly cherished. Since Nigeria, after thirty-five years of the civil war could not guarantees the security of lives and properties of Ndigbo, the only available option was Biafra. This I did.

The name Biafra is abhorrent to our oppressors. It is a taboo. It is viewed with jaundiced eyes. ‘Who is the rat talking about Biafra? Ralph who?’ they asked. And before the blink of an eye, various raids ensued. Arrests, detentions and murder of Biafran protagonists commenced. But instead of dousing the agitation, it ignited it. Professor Chinua Achebe told me that one with God is Majority.  I am guided by that dictum. I am not afraid as God has always fought just wars. Ours is a war anchored on non-violence, it is God’s war.

Gunmen Kidnap APC Caretaker Chairman In Rivers State

Nwiye is the All Progressives Congress (APC) caretaker committee chairman in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.

This was disclosed by the spokesperson for the party, Ogbonna Nwuke, who said that Nwiye was abducted at his residence on Sunday.

Nwuke said: “The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the APC in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State was snatched on Sunday from his home by unknown persons.

“We have been briefed that he was taken into captivity at a time when well-meaning people were celebrating the resurrection of our Lord, the Son of God.”

Meanwhile, the party has demanded the unconditional release of its chieftain.

APC blamed Nwiye’s abduction on the inability of the Rivers state government to guarantee appropriate security protection at the grassroots. The party called on security agencies in the state to do everything necessary to rescue their kidnapped member.

NNAMDI KANU’S AGENDA OF DESTABILISING ALA-IGBO HAVE REACHED 4TH STAGE

By Comrade Nnadi

Ignorance of the truth have been the bane of Afrikan problem since the emergence of European colonists in the continent and that is why the continent have not enjoyed the much needed development and stability in politics.

Since the scramble of Afrikan Continent that started with the New Imperialism between 1881 and 1914 by   European that begins with King Leopold II of Belgium
when he involved European powers to gain recognition in Belgium. The Europeans especially the British, Afrikan Continent have never known peace.

Biafra Struggle

Since the new struggle for the realisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra began in 1999, in Lagos by an Indian Trained Lawyer, Chief (Barr) Ralph Uwazuruike, the European powers especially British have never rested.

During the early stage of the struggle till date, many people have been recruited by the Nigerian State in collaboration of the British Imperialist to destabilise the struggle for Biafra Independence.

The most recent and almost successful one is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, he was commissioned by the state to stop Ralph Uwazuruike and in extension inflame the peaceful zone of South East.

Mr. Nnamdi Kanu have been successfully carrying out his assignments in numbers.

NUMBER 1

Number one was the character assassination that was done to every strong Igbo man that have the capacity to defend his people, when the need arises.
He started with Chief Ralph Uwazuruike and his Movements for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB). The main reason for doing that is to make sure that the people loses confidence in them and by that, no one will be in support of them.

NUMBER 2

Number two is amplifying the insecurity in the land, the Fulani Herdsmen Attack, etc.
These particular one was paramount for him because this was what actually paved way for him to establish the third one, which is the formation of the so-called Eastern Security Network (ESN).

NUMBER 3

Formation of Eastern Security Network (ESN) was also in tandem with his agreed mission of destabilising the region and paving way for mass entry of Fulani Janjaweed Militias for the fulfillment of their proposed Fulaniazation Agenda.

NUMBER 4

Number four is his second to last agenda and if he is not curtailed now, the political classes will have themselves to blame. Just as Chief Ralph Uwazuruike suggested on first of March that the Eastern Governors should sit-up and emulate Gov. Wike of Rivers state.
His plan is to weaken the security architectures in the land and made the zone porous, so as to allow the Invaders to penetrate us.
While this fight is on, the Imperialist will be milking us dry.

We must maintain peace in our land now or our Children will never forgive us.

By Thankgod Ogbonna, Owerri

According to an eyewitness, the gunmen invaded the Ukworji Checkpoint along Owerri-Onitsha Road in Imo State and rained bullets on the personnel, forcing them to flee.

Dare-devil gunmen continued their assault in the South-East region of the country by attacking a checkpoint of the Nigerian Army on Sunday, burning down the operational vehicles.

According to an eyewitness, the gunmen invaded the Ukworji Checkpoint along Owerri-Onitsha Road in Imo State and rained bullets on the personnel, forcing them to flee.

It is not clear yet if any of the army personnel was shot dead.

“Soldiers in Ukworji checkpoint, along Owerri Onitsha road escaped death as they ran away on sighting the unknown gunmen who invaded the checkpoint and set all the operational vans on fire,” a witness, Chioma Kanu, stated on Twitter.

Security operatives in Enugu State last week had their encounter with the gunmen who seemed to be gaining more effrontery to attack uniformed personnel.

Troops of the Nigerian Army have been battling with gunmen whom some residents have allegedly referred to as operatives of the Eastern Security Network in Nsukka town of Enugu State.
